Milligan students and alumni receive four ADDY awards

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – On March 2, eleven Milligan University students and young alums were awarded ADDY awards at the American Advertising Awards Competition, the university said in a release on Tuesday.

ADDY awards are given to students and alums to honor the most creative and professional work in advertisement.

“It’s rewarding to see our students’ creative work recognized by the judges, especially for projects where students have gained leadership experience and have collaborated as a team,” said Associate Professor Art Brown. “Their successes also reflect the strength of our graphic design and interactive media design programs at Milligan.”

Nearly 35,000 applicants submit their work for consideration each year. According to the release, the Milligan students and alums below earned three silver ADDY awards and one Judge’s Choice Award:

  • Emanuel Mogaya – Senior – Tarime, Tanzania – Silver ADDY

  • Marnie Tallon – Sophomore – Houston, Texas – Silver ADDY

  • Layney Loyd – Senior – New London, Iowa – Judge’s Choice Award

The following students collectively won a Silver ADDY for a group project led by alumna Katherine Eldridge, who coordinated the creation of the campaign, according to the release:

  • Abbey Cartagena – Senior – Johnson City, Tennessee

  • Ezra Fowler – Sophomore – Pomona, Missouri

  • Hannah Stadler – Junior – Dayton, Ohio

  • Eleanor Stoneham – Junior – Charlotte, North Carolina

Alumni:

  • Katherine Eldridge

  • Kaylee Hendrickson

  • Stacia Wilson

  • Mariana Marsh
