Millennium Falcon ‘UFO’ Under Baltic Sea Still Baffles Scientists

A new expedition hopes to lay to rest a mystery found 300 feet under the Baltic - a strange, UFO-shaped object which seems to stop electrical equipment working.

The object - dubbed the ‘Baltic Sea Anomaly’ - was found five years ago, and immediately seized on by paranormal fans, due to its resemblance to a sci fi spacecraft.

The Ocean X team of divers which found the 200ft wide object believe it is man-made - although as yet, no one knows by whom.

The which found the strange object are now raising funds to revisit the site, five years on.

Diver Stefan Hogerborn said, ‘Anything electric out there, and the satellite phone as well, stopped working when we were above the object.

‘And then when we got away about 200 metres, it turned on again, and when we got back over the object it didn’t work.’

Others have suggested that the publicity around the ‘anomaly’ may simply be an attempt to lure wealthy guests into paying for tours.

Jonathan Hill of the Mars Space Flight Facility said, ‘Whenever people make extraordinary claims, it’s always a good idea to consider for a moment whether they are personally benefiting from the claim or if it’s a truly objective observation.’
