Milder with Less Fog this Morning, Hot and Humid Afternoon

Dense fog is not as widespread as yesterday morning but there are areas in Acadiana dealing with low visibility this Wednesday morning. A milder morning will be followed by a hot and humid afternoon as temperatures climb into the upper 80s. The heat index could reach the lower 90s during the hottest part of the day. A few showers and storms are possible too. Lows tonight fall into the lower 70s as clouds increase.

Hi-Resolution models are more aggressive with scattered showers and storms for Thursday. Severe weather is not expected but heavier rains are possible. There is an elevated risk for flash flooding across the northwestern parts of our viewing area as the ground is still saturated from the rains on Monday.
