TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and star wide receiver Mike Evans spoke to the media following the signing of his new two-year deal.

Evans – who owns the team records for receptions (762), receiving yards (11,680), receiving touchdowns (94), scrimmage yards (11,690) and scrimmage touchdowns (94) – is a five-time Pro Bowl selection and has twice been selected as second-team All-Pro. He was one of four players to record 1,000+ receiving yards and 10+ receiving touchdowns in 2023, alongside CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill, and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

In addition to his on-the-field accolades, Evans is a seven-time captain for the Buccaneers and a three-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee.

“The first 10 years of Mike’s time in Tampa have been truly unprecedented and we look forward to seeing him continue to break records and add to his legendary career as a Buccaneer,” said Buccaneers General Manager Jason Licht. “Mike is a special player who has made a lasting impact on this franchise and in our community. As great as he’s been on the field, Mike and his wife, Ashli, have had an even bigger effect in the Tampa Bay area through all their charitable work. He is crucial to our team success and exemplifies everything we want our players to be.”

His new contract is an incentive-heavy two-year deal worth up to $52 million, with a base salary of $41 million and $35 million in guaranteed money.
