You Might Have Missed 'The Greatest Event in Television History'

So, you might not have known this, but last night (or rather early this morning) was the premiere of The Greatest Event In Television History on Adult Swim, a frame-by-frame recreation of the season four opening credits of the Robert Wagner show Hart to Hart, only starring Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler and Adam Scott. It was pretty great, obviously, but the "making-of" feature reveals that putting The Greatest Event together was by no means an easy task. There was even a standoff between the two lead actors, who play husband and wife on Parks. Neither wanted to be the first to leave their trailer or walk on set. A therapist was brought in. There was even pathos after the credits ran, as the VFX supervisor on the event ("one of the best diarrhea guys in the biz") described how difficult it is to be Michael Bay's cousin. Jeff Probst hosted.

Now, in all seriousness, this is the second Greatest Event in Television History. The first Greatest Event in Television history was a remake of the Simon & Simon credits last October starring Scott and Jon Hamm. There will be two more Greatest Events, according to an interview with Scott in Splitsider. But in all seriousness, this is the greatest event in television history, Scott told Vulture's Denise Martin. You know, except for the Red Wedding.
