Middle school student responsible for string of break-ins in Warner Robins, police say

Amid Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick’s attempts to reduce youth crime in the city, law enforcement on Monday arrested a juvenile who police say is responsible for a recent string of burglaries in the area.

A Warner Robins middle school student has been charged with eight counts of burglary stemming from recent incidents in the area of Watson Boulevard, S. Houston Lake Road and Robins West Parkway, said Sgt. Patrick Allen of the Warner Robins Police Department.

The suspect’s latest break-in attempt was around 3 a.m. on April 19 at Seven Bridges Armory, a local gun store located at 301 Robins West Parkway.

Store owner Daniel Huff said the suspect was unable to steal any weapons or money because police arrived quickly on the scene.

Upon arrival, police found a small, black duffle bag left at the crime scene that contained the juvenile’s school I.D., according to police records.

Recorded surveillance footage from the business showed the male juvenile breaking the front glass window and metal door. The suspect fled on foot once spotted by law enforcement, police records said.

Records also said the juvenile unsuccessfully attempted to deactivate power breakers that power the business’ security cameras.

WRPD has made over 60 juvenile arrests in the past year, though that does not include Child in Need of Services violations, Allen said.

Huff said his new gun store officially opened on March 1. After speaking with residents in the area, he said others were aware of the recent break-ins.
