Eighty-three senior members will be awarded $200 scholarships. In addition, one senior MHS NHS member will receive the 11th annual Harold P. Griffith Scholarship. This award is for $1,000 and is renewable, for a total award of four years ($4,000 total).

Seventy-four juniors and four first-year seniors have been chosen and will be inducted during the ceremony.

This is the 35th year that the former Harold P. Griffith Chapter Moline High School National
Honor Society Foundation has awarded scholarships. Harold P. Griffith began the original trust for the former Harold P. Griffith Chapter Moline High School National Honor Society Foundation, now called the Moline High School National Honor Society Harold P. Griffith Scholarship
Endowment.

The Griffith family manages the endowment and annually donates the funds for the scholarships, as well as receiving donations from those in the community.

During the Induction ceremony, NHS student officers will give speeches on character, scholarship, leadership, and service. The induction ceremony is open to the public.

Afterward, a reception will be held in the lobby of the MHS Bartlett Performing Arts Center honoring the students.
