Which New Mexico cities ranked on the list of best cities for college basketball fans?

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – As we get ready for the start of March Madness, people from cities all over the country will be tuning in. WalletHub released its recent study on best cities for college basketball fans.

To come up with the rankings, WalletHub rated than 294 cities using nine key metrics including number of teams per city, winning percentage of each team, social media engagement, season ticket prices and more.

New Mexico had two cities rank on the list with Albuquerque, home of the UNM Lobos, rank 237. Las Cruces, home of the NMSU Aggies, ranked 264 on the list. Each city was graded across nine key metrics on a 100 point scale. Each city’s score was averaged to determine its overall used to rank on the list.
