Mexican Anti-Government Protesters Break Through Barricade at Rally Against Trump

US President Donald Trump was not the only target at a large-scale rally in Mexico City on February 12 as groups of protesters also voiced their opposition to his Mexican counterpart Enrique Peña Nieto.

Peña Nieto has been dogged by very poor approval ratings, and frequent protests over corruption and his dealing with drug crime.

This footage shows anti-government protesters breaking through barricades along the route of the anti-Trump protest.

Marches were slated in cities across Mexico on Sunday to show the anger over Trump’s pledge to make Mexico pay for a wall along the US border. In Mexico City, two separate anti-Trump marches converged at the Angel of Independence. Credit: Twitter/@oyeivan via Storyful
