Mets superfan gets a surprise promposal

Callie Quinn is a die-hard New York Mets fan. She got a huge surprise when her favorite baseball team sent their mascot, Mr. Met, to deliver a sweet message. The team mascot held up a sign that read, “Prom?” and the high school senior lost it (naturally). After getting over her immediate shock, she accepted the prom invitation. Quinn told People, “I saw Mr. Met, and I was so surprised! It was great!” Quinn first connected with the Mets in January, when she asked the team if she could take her prom photos at Citi Field, home of the Mets. Team officials agreed — if she could get 500,000 retweets on Twitter. The 17-year-old superfan was up for the challenge and surpassed the goal. Quinn’s favorite team decided to reward her with an unforgettable promposal. Quinn will take the field May 18. She’s already shopping for blue-and-orange dresses to go with the team’s colors.
