Mercer County joins in Click It-Ticket campaign
May 20—CELINA — Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey has announced his office will participate in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's national Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement effort and will have extra deputies patrolling Mercer County from May 20 through June 2.
Grey said deputies will be assigned to specific areas and will focus on seat belt usage, unsafe driving, drunk driving and distracted driving. The purpose of the increase visibility is to reduce traffic crashes and identify unsafe driving practices in Mercer County.
