Mercedes-Benz is looking to unveil an all-electric concept at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. The concept, which will be shown in the form of an SUV, is currently under development at Mercedes’ prototype facility near Stuttgart in Germany.

The eco-friendly concept will provide an insight into the exterior design, interior layout and technicalities of what will be, in fact, Merc’s first all-electric mass produced vehicle. When launched, this new model will go up against the Tesla Model X and an equivalent future model from Audi.

Post its global debut later this year, the concept will be put into production within the next three years. It will be the first of an all-new range of electric vehicles which will also include a luxury sedan, to rival the likes of the Tesla Model S.
