Memorial Day forecast shows potential for damaging winds, large hail

Holiday plans may get disrupted by severe weather.

The National Weather Service on Saturday said there is a potential for severe weather Monday afternoon into Monday night. The entire state is under a slight risk of severe storms, including heavy rain, damaging winds and large hail.

The forecast for the rest of the holiday weekend is showing mixed conditions, with warm days and a slight possibility of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Highs will be in the low 80s.
