Member of Lufkin-based drug trafficking organization sentenced to 7 years in prison

BEAUMONT, Texas (KETK) — A Lufkin man has been sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine on Friday.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Texas, Christopher Shane Osborn, 46, was a member of a drug trafficking organization based in Lufkin where he reportedly distributed methamphetamine since 2020.

Officials said the investigation so far has resulted in the incarceration of nine narcotics or firearms traffickers totaling of over 919 months in federal prison.

The investigation was conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
