Melania Trump wears French designer in sartorial show of diplomacy

Melania Trump seems to be taking a cue from her predecessor when it comes to sartorial diplomacy. On Monday, to host French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, for the first state visit of her husband’s presidency, Melania chose to wear a tuxedo cape over a little black dress from Givenchy. The first lady was worn the label before. In her first post-inauguration outing for a trip down to Florida, Melania wore a similar cape style, available for $2,095, in a bright red with matching flats from Christian Louboutin.
