Melania Trump Is Apparently ‘Miserable’ Already
Almost immediately following President Trump’s inauguration last month, “free Melania” became an Internet meme. People saw pictures of her looking serious in candid moments and took it to mean she was unhappy, even though there was no real proof of how she was feeling either way. But the new issue of Us Weekly, which has made the Trump family its focus lately in lieu of more traditional celebrity cover lines, might give some credence to the theory that Melania isn't too thrilled with her new role.
“This life wasn’t her dream. It was Donald’s,” stylist Phillip Bloch, a family friend of the Trumps, told the magazine. “Truthfully, it’s a lot to cope with.” It honestly has to be hard to live under the kind of scrutiny that the First Family deals with, especially when you had no political ambitions in the first place. “Melania is unhappy with how her life ended up,” an anonymous family source added. “She is miserable.”

She’s also facing more scrutiny because she’s been remaining in Trump Tower in New York City until Barron finishes his school year (at a substantial cost to U.S. taxpayers). Previous first ladies have made a big splash when arriving in Washington, and Melania has steered clear of that, aside from a few public appearances. But the first lady has mainly been staying inside her apartment, and can’t even take Barron to school anymore. Apparently she’s happiest when she travels to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, also known as the “winter White House.”
But not everyone agrees with the report, and a more-chipper source close to Melania also told Us Weekly that “she is very happy with her life and supporting her husband and family.” Since there seems to be no consensus then, and it’s important to take this all with a large grain of salt, in fact basically a whole salt shaker?
