Mel Gibson, John Lithgow Star In ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ Trailer
The newest trailer for “Daddy’s Home 2” starring Mel Gibson and John Lithgow has just been released.
In the clip, Mark Wahlberg’s Dusty and Will Ferrell’s Brad have both found peace. Their respective children are switching between two homes, sometimes staying with Dusty and other times with Brad. But Dusty and Brad becoming friends does not mean that there will no longer be any tension in the film. This is where Gibson’s character, Mr. Mayron, comes in.

Dusty and Brad pick him up at the airport, and the former couldn’t be less ecstatic. Brad, on the other hand, is excited to meet Mr. Mayron. But when the latter arrives, he hands his bag over to Brad, thinking that he’s simply assisting Dusty. But when Dusty informs his dad that Brad is the man taking care of his kids on certain days, Mr. Mayron still acts like he doesn’t care.
Before leaving the airport, Brad’s dad, Mr. Whitaker, also arrives. He looks excited to be able to reunite with his son. When they finally hold each other, Brad and Mr. Whitaker also kiss each other on the lips. Unsurprisingly, Mr. Mayron finds this very weird.
When they arrive home, the kids run up to their grandfather, Mr. Whitaker. Mr. Mayron looks a bit jealous since he doesn’t have the same kind of relationship with his son’s children. He even tries to utter a green joke, but was asked to stop mid-sentence.
Prior to Mr. Mayron and Mr. Whitaker’s arrival, Dusty and Brad already agreed that both of their families will be celebrating Christmas together. Their plan is still on, but the dynamics in the household will definitely change with the two grandfathers’ arrival.
“Daddy’s Home 2” is the sequel to hit movie, “Daddy’s Home,” which grossed a massive $242.8 million worldwide, according to Deadline. The film also stars Linda Cardellini as Sara, John Cena as Roger, Alessandra Ambrosio as Karen, Scarlett Estevez as Megan, Owen Vaccaro as Dylan, Marybeth Paul as Jessie and more.
“Daddy’s Home 2” is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Nov. 10.
