Megyn Kelly: Donald Trump Needs Our ‘Prayers and Good Wishes’ Right Now

Megyn Kelly is personally congratulating Republican candidate Donald Trump on his historical victory.

On Wednesday, the Fox News anchor joined Kelly Ripa on Live to discuss the stunning upset for the race to the White House with Trump coming out on top.

“It was a resounding victory,” Kelly began to tell her co-host Ripa. “I have never seen anything like this. You will never have a result this shocking where people got it shockingly this wrong.”

“It all winds up being okay,” she added. “For the people who are feeling upset today, this is the United States of America and it’s the most glorious place to live in the world.”

“I hope that we can all sort of move forward and go back to treating each other with kindness and a little dignity,” Ripa, 46, replied. “I feel like a lot of that, during this electoral process, but watching people disagree… not just on the front lines, but on the news, go after each other and watching people in the hallway go after each other… you just think, ‘My gosh, we wouldn’t talk to our worst enemies this way and we are talking to each other this way.’ ”

And with that, the 45-year-old journalist went on to congratulate the 70-year-old billionaire businessman and to remind the audience that the country needs to stand behind the President.

“I will say this, love him or hate him, he’s the president-elect of our country and the one thing he needs now more than ever is our prayers and good wishes for a strong performance,” she said. “He has a lot to deal with… at the end of it we accept the results and we get behind our President.

“We all share the same basic core as Americans and that’s what we should focus on,” she continued. “Keep an open mind, see what he does and my philosophy in hard times is any time you feel blue, threatened or scared, remember who you are.”
