Meghan Markle's mum Doria Ragland sheds a tear as her daughter marries Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s mum Doria Ragland shed a tear as she watched her daughter tie the knot to Prince Harry.

Doria, who was driven to the ceremony along with Meghan in a vintage Rolls-Royce with the bride, was seen getting a little emotional as her daughter joined the UK’s royal family.

A host of high-profile guests looked on at the Windsor Castle chapel, including Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, Harry’s uncle Earl Spencer and Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan left Cliveden House, in Taplow, Berkshire, where she spent the night, with her mum earlier today.

The pair could be seen chatting, and a relaxed-looking Meghan gave a brief wave, as the vintage Rolls-Royce Phantom IV, left for the drive to the Windsor Castle.

In a service witnessed by more than 100 inside the chapel, thousands outside, and millions around the world, Ms Ragland was afforded her own private moment with her daughter.

Wearing a pale pistachio Oscar de la Renta dress, light hat and nose stud, Ms Ragland beamed alongside her daughter as their Rolls-Royce limousine weaved past the thronging and adoring crowds, down Long Walk and into the chapel itself.

When Meghan appeared through the doors of the chapel, sunlight streaming in behind her, she turned to smile and wave at the children who were standing to her right behind the door.

Her tiara dazzled in the light of the chapel.

A few minutes later there were giggles when the Archbishop of Canterbury conducted the vows.

A loud and clear “We will” sounded out when the guests were asked if they would support Harry and Meghan.

After the ceremony, Meghan’s mother smiled at the Prince of Wales and took his hand as they joined the newlyweds in one of the chapel’s transepts to privately record their marriage.
