It’s been days since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement — and already the Suits star appears to be a natural in her new role.

On Friday, the pair had their first royal outing to mark World AIDS Day. On the agenda was to visit a Terrence Higgins Trust World AIDS Day charity fair in Nottingham and meet with members of local charities that support people living with HIV/AIDS. While it was Markle’s first time doing this type of thing, she made it seem effortless.

Looking sophisticated in long navy wool coat by the Canadian brand Mackage (which retails for $790), the actress appeared arm in arm with her beau. But soon she was mixing with the crowd by herself.

She greeted fans.

Oh, yeah — and she flashed her new engagement ring.

Watch them in action:

Inside the event, the prince and Markle learned how the Terrence Higgins Trust works “in Nottingham to provide support to people living with HIV and AIDS,” according to the palace.

They even dropped by a youth kickboxing session.

Their decision to make this their first official appearance together seems to be another nod to Prince Harry’s mom, Princess Diana. The HIV/AIDS cause was important to her — and 30 years ago, she opened the U.K.’s first HIV/AIDS unit that exclusively cared for patients with the virus.

Kensington Palace said in a statement: “Prince Harry has spent a significant amount of private and public time in the city and His Royal Highness is looking forward to introducing Ms. Markle to a community that has become very special to him.”

Markle and Prince Harry, who announced their engagement on Monday, will be getting married in May at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
