Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child in Spring next year, but the royal couple admittedly 'can't wait to join the club' and welcome their 'little one'.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on tour in Australia, and during a reception hosted by the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove at Admiral House in Sydney, the mum-to-be told a guest she and her husband are very excited to become parents.

Maths teacher and YouTube star Eddie Woo and his wife Michelle told the Duchess their three children required 'a lot of energy', and there was never any time to rest.

The 37-year-old royal laughed and replied (via The Telegraph): 'We're ready! We're excited to join the club.'

Singer and songwriter Missy Higgins, who recently welcomed her second child, told the 37-year-old former actress: 'Cherish each moment because it goes by so fast. It really does.'

During the reception, Harry addressed the crowd with a speech to introduce Meghan and share their exciting baby news again.

'We genuinely couldn't think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, whether it's a boy or a girl,' Harry said, looking at Meghan warmly.

Later on during the their walkabout in Sydney, Harry went over to speak to long-term royal fan Daphne Dunne - who the Prince famously hugged and kissed during his solo walkabout 'Down Under' last year.

We certainly can't wait.
