Meghan Markle Makes a Surprise Visit to Northern Ireland in Green and White
Meghan Markle surprised royal watchers with a visit to Belfast, Northern Ireland today with Prince Harry. Markle subtly alluded to Irish colors by wearing shades of green and white. The tailored separates were a ladylike choice for the soon-to-be royal who has often bucked convention by sporting strong suits or red carpet-worthy eveningwear for her public appearances.
But it seemed that Markle also took a cue here from her future royal-in-law Kate Middleton by repeating a cream Victoria Beckham knit top that she had previously worn for her second engagement portrait with Prince Harry. The top was an elegant complement to her Mackage coat — a Canadian label that Markle has relied upon for outings including September’s Invictus Games. Rounding out the rest of the ensemble was a flounced hem skirt from Greta Constantine. Tobacco-colored accessories — a top-handle tote from Charlotte Elizabeth (retailing for under $250) and Jimmy Choo velvet stilettos — gave the look its polished finish.
