This is how Meghan Markle disguises herself to go about her life in London

From Cosmopolitan

A lot has changed for Meghan Markle in the past year. She got engaged to Prince Harry, quit her job as an actress on Suits, moved from Toronto to the UK, and became a fully-fledged Royal with the title of Duchess of Sussex.

Despite all the change, it's natural that Meghan might want to try to retain some semblance of normality - like being able to go about her day-to-day business as she pleases. The problem is, with a pretty hefty proportion of the world knowing who you are, it's hard to do it undetected.

But according to an inside source speaking to People, Meghan does make an effort to head out on her own occasionally, with the help of a subtle disguise.

"When she does venture out to Pilates or to get her hair done, she normally goes incognito under a baseball cap," said the source.

Knowing the royal protocol is to avoid autographs, it makes it difficult to go out and about, but the Duchess also reportedly likes to visit American-originated supermarket Whole Foods occasionally. The trick she uses for this one is picking a store very close to home.

"The only other place she has visited regularly is Whole Foods, which is little more than five minutes away from Kensington Palace. That way she can quickly sneak in and out without anyone noticing it’s her," added the insider.

The idea of Meghan using a baseball cap to go undetected isn't a new one. In August, we discovered the Duchess had managed to get on a scheduled transatlantic flight for a sneaky visit to Toronto during her month off without anyone knowing. How did she do it? She went super low-key, wearing all black clothes and a baseball cap to mask her identity.

So now you know: if you ever find yourself visiting Whole Foods in Kensington, London, look out for the woman in the baseball cap keeping her head down and whizzing round the shop with pace. Bets are on it'll be Meghan.
