Ethical fashion and accessories brands are on the up-and-up, in no small part thanks to the Duchess of Sussex. Mother-to-be Meghan Markle has been a champion of sustainably and fairly sourced brands for some time now, and one of her go-tos, Cuyana, has teamed up with Amanu for a sustainable footwear collaboration.

Beginning today, Cuyana is partnering with the L.A.-based customizable and handmade footwear brand on a curated selection of sandals-marking the very first time that Amanu will be available online, and beyond its appointment-based showroom. And of course, it is a symbiotic partnership between the two female-founded brands, as they both boast a "fewer, better" mentality that celebrates craftsmanship and the minimization of waste by using only what is needed to yield their creations, and producing based on demand.

For the collaboration, Amanu is releasing two sandals in five different colorways that are available both at cuyana.com and at amanustudio.com. Each pair of shoes will be cut to order at the Amanu studio in Los Angeles.

Of note: while one style is currently available now, the other will launch in May. Amanu will also be hosting a pop-up in two of the Cuyana retail stores, at Pacific Palisades from April 19 to May 12, and at the Cuyana NYC Flagship from May 17 to June 10. The debut sandal retails for between $270 and $295 dollars.
