Remember that time when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opened up about their love of sitting on the sofa on a Saturday night with a takeaway and watching Game of Thrones?

Well, if that revelation didn’t make you relate to the Royals, news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s television obsession certainly will.

On Friday's episode of Lorraine, The Voice Kids former finalist Donel Mangena appeared on the show to talk about meeting the royal couple backstage at the Queen's 92nd birthday celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall in April ahead of the finals.

To the surprise of the 16-year-old, Meghan Markle was beyond excited to meet him, and even ran over to hug him when they met backstage in a dressing room.

‘Harry and Meghan walked in and I expected a handshake but Meghan screamed my name and ran over to give me a hug,’ he gushed.

Donel also revealed that the Duke of Sussex had told him ‘our money's on you,’ to which he jokingly replied: ‘Thanks Harry, no pressure.’

The singer Donel had been invited by Harry to Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday celebration to perform his own rendition of Pharrel's 'Happy'.

However, despite the Royal’s support and speculation Donel would win the competition, 18-year-old Ruti Olajugbagbe was finally crowned the winner.

It’s well-known that Harry and Meghan love nothing more cosy nights in, cooking up delicious meals together at their two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage, in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

The couple opened up about their relatively ‘normal’ lifestyle during their engagement interview, revealing they were preparing a roast chicken together at home when he popped the question.

'It was just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet, and natural and very romantic,' Markle said.

Guys, you order the takeaway and we'll bring the bottle of Tignanello (Meghan's favourite wine, FYI) and Monopoly. See you at 8pm on Friday!
