Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Wears an On-Sale Dress to Her First Royal Engagement
The newest member of the royal family, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex made a stunning appearance at Buckingham Palace.
Meghan Markle may have become the Duchess of Sussex on Saturday, but today, she was officially welcomed as a member of “the Firm.” The newest addition to the royal family stepped out with her husband, Prince Harry, and in-laws, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, for a garden party at Buckingham Palace. For the occasion, the Duchess chose Goat, a label plucked from her sister-in-law Kate Middleton’s closet. The blush pink dress—a custom made version of one now on sale for $450—was the ideal choice for Markle, and she added her own flair through a fascinator from Phillip Treacy and diamond jewelry.
Markle’s effect on the royal family is already quite evident, and today’s ensemble hints at her growing ease in her new surroundings. The palette lent itself to royally required nude pantyhose, which the Duchess cleverly grounded with Tamara Mellon neutral stilettos. The tonally coordinated hat and clutch finished the look in regal fashion.
