Meet Pope Francis and Play Ping Pong for $25,000

The Pope will speak at a ping pong event focused on unplugging and enjoying time with friends and family. No word on whether or not he'll be taking challengers at the ping pong table.

The Killerspin World UnPlugNPlay Festival, held at the end of August in the Vatican City, is a three-day festival filled with discussions about technology and many opportunities to play ping pong.

The event grew out of Pope Francis interest in unplugging from technology to spend quality time with friends and family. This year, for $25,000, attendees can meet the pope and take a photo with him.

The experience, from If Only, includes tickets to the festival, a private tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, dinner in the Vatican gardens, and a three-day stay in Sardinia. Ticket-holders will also get an exclusive Papal ping pong table.

Although the Pope may have wielded a ping pong paddle in his day, there is no confirmation on whether or not he will take over a table and play a few rounds.

Proceeds will benefit Best Buddies, a non-profit group that provides socialization and employment opportunities for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
