May Tsupros, announced they were stepping away as Executive Director and stepping into a new role as the Director of Farm to Institution Programs at MSU’s Center for Regional Food Systems. Tsupros will remain on the Partridge Creek Farm board.

Sara Johnson joins PCF after spending four years with the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market.

“It literally was a dream job that I didn’t know was possible, and it was a really great opportunity for me to channel my skills and talents into supporting our local food system here in the U.P. Food’s always been a love and a hobby of mine, but working with local food in the U.P. has been really grounding and really fulfilling,” said Johnson.

Johnson had volunteered with PCF and recognized the potential for her experience to play a role in the growth of the organization.

“When the opportunity came to step into an executive director position with this organization, it was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up. So I’m really happy to be able to continue doing work in the local food system in my own community.” Johnson continued, “In a way it’s kind of leveling up the work that I was doing and I’m able to continue it in a much different way and it’s very exciting.”

Mary Atonia Andronis has more than 20 years of experience in education from the public and private sectors. She said the position marries many of her passions together.

“I’ve worked a lot with not for profits over the years, and it’s been some of the most rewarding work I think I’ve ever done. I also am a lifelong grower of things and cooker of food.” Andronis continued, “I think there’s also a lot of opportunity and room for growth, especially with our farm buildout going on. We’re going to really be able to kind of stretch our legs with that and with so many different arms, so many different activities going on.”
