Election Day proved to be a stunning microcosm of 2020, with political tensions colliding with the realities of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
More than 100 million votes were filed by mail prior to Election Day, with some states surpassing their total votes in the 2016 election.

On Election Day, 91,530 new COVID-19 cases and 1,130 deaths were reported, per data from Johns Hopkins' dashboard.

Chicago White Sox outfielder Tommy Pham told reporters he's always prepared to fight after an on-field confrontation with Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras.
