Man flown to hospital after multi-vehicle crash in Darke Co.

UPDATE @ 9 p.m.:

A man was flown to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in Darke County Tuesday afternoon.

Around 6 p.m. Deputies were called to the intersection of OH-49 and Hogspath Road for reports of a crash.

An initial investigation found that a Chevrolet Corvette was traveling southeast on SR-49 and stopped to make a left turn onto Hogapth Road.

A Ford F150 driven by Raymond Perkins, 49, of Greenville, failed to maintain enough distance and hit the back of the Corvette.

After the crash, Perkins traveled into the northbound lane hitting a Dodge Dart.

Both the driver of the Corvette and Dodge Dart were treated by medics on the scene and released.

Perkins was flown to Mami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
