MCSO warns residents to lock homes, vehicles after string of crimes

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Menard County Sheriff’s Office has issued a reminder for residents to lock their residences and vehicles after multiple burglaries and thefts occurred over three days.

In a public announcement, MCSO stated that it received a report on April 23 that two vehicles had been stolen from Deer Creek Apartments. One of the vehicles contained both the keys to itself and the keys to the second vehicle.

Both of the vehicles were recovered, with one seen and recorded on the side of the road in Kimble County and the other found in Harris County. The actors in the car thefts were not Menard County locals.
