MCSO arrests two after finding narcotics and a firearm in a rental moving truck

MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. (WRBL) – The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office said two individuals were arrested after deputies discovered drugs and a firearm inside a rental moving truck.

On Tuesday, MCSO’s Special Operation Patrol Units initiated a traffic stop on a rental moving and the sheriff’s office says during a “brief investigation,” deputies found the firearm and illegal narcotics.

Both Jessica Maldonado and Eric Person were arrested and charged with:

Maldonado –

  • Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

  • Possession of cocaine

  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

  • Possession of drug-related objects

Person –

  • Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

  • Possession of cocaine

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime

  • Giving false name

  • Possession of drug-related objects

  • Felony hit and run (CPD Warrant)
