McDowell County man pleads guilty to federal gun crime

WYOMING COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A McDowell County man pleaded guilty to a federal gun crime.

23-year-old Carl Thomas Mullins, also known as “TJ Mullins,” of Isaban, pleaded guilty to theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee.

Beckley man sentenced for federal fraud crime

According to statements made in court, Mullins broke into a store in Wyoming County on September 10, 2021 and stole a rifle and two shotguns.

Mullins’ sentencing is scheduled for May 24, 2024, and he faces up to 10 years in prison, three years of parole, and a $250,000 fine.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Will Thompson who complimented the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for their work on the investigation.
