McDonald’s to open six new restaurants in Ukraine: Which oblasts will be lucky?

FDI McDonald’s Ukraine Ltd, which operates the McDonald’s fast food chain in Ukraine, plans to open six restaurants in Ukraine in 2024, McDonald’s CEO in Ukraine, Czechia, and Slovakia, Yulia Badritdinova, said at a press briefing, NV Business journalist reported.

“We live in Ukraine, a war is ongoing here,” said Badritdinova.

“There are many nuances here, so it is difficult to predict specific details on the future openings.”

There are two oblasts where we are not yet represented — Zakarpattiya and Chernivtsi, where the company plans to open new restaurants, she noted.

McDonald’s also plans to develop in Kyiv suburbs and other large cities.

The restaurant chain also made a series of statements:

  • Glovo and Bolt Food delivery giants cooperate with the company in terms of McDelivery service;

  • More than 470 thousand people use the mobile application;

  • More than half of visitors use self-service terminals;

  • More than a third of visitors use the McDrive service.

McDonald’s opened 101 restaurants in Ukraine and opened 10 new ones in 2023, it was reported earlier.
