It may not be a whole lot, but Chicagoland will see some sunshine for Memorial Day

Yes, Chicagoland, you will see some Memorial Day sun. It may not be a whole lot, but after a cloudy start to Monday, the sun is expected to make its way into the area, with the sunniest part of the day likely during the mid- to late afternoon. Temperatures will remain fairly nice, too, with highs in the low 70s inland but cooler along the lake. Another band of showers and storms will move through Chicagoland on Monday evening into Monday night, with a marginal risk for severe weather in western Illinois and far southwest Chicagoland. The rest of the week is looking sunnier, though on the cool side, before temps look to climb back up again for the first post-Memorial Day, early-summer weekend of the year.
