May ‘First Friday’ in Florence canceled due to threat of storms

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) — The threat of storms in the area has led the Downtown Florence Alliance to cancel its ‘First Friday’ events.

According to a post on the Florence First Fridays Facebook page, all planned event activities for Friday night have been canceled due to the significant threat of thunderstorm activity.

“Regardless of outdoor activities impact, please do come join us in Florence for any of our great shops and restaurants indoors. We always appreciate when you join us downtown!!!” the post said.

First Fridays will start back up again on June 7.
