Maxwell Turns Up The Sensuality In His “1990x” Video
As some of you get your playlist together for the cozy evening that cuffin season brings, Maxwell’s latest LP blackSUMMERS’night arrives at just the right time, chock full of tunes that’ll help soften up the romantic environment you create.
The Brooklyn born crooner graciously delivered the second video from his number one album “1990x” and doesn’t skimp on the sensuality he oozes. It’s all about the visuals for his latest video. The 43-year-old singer songwriter dons his famous tailored suit as he stares at a beautiful vintage car that’s trumped by the even more beautiful woman sitting in the car.
Maxwell just wrapped up the national leg of his summer tour and should be heading overseas to bring his brand of rhythm and blues to fans. During an interview with Vibe, Maxwell spoke about his creative process and why he takes his time with his music.
“I’ve worked with Stuart Matthewman, who is part of Sade, which is weird. So there’s obviously maybe something about the kind of choices that we make musically that connect with people in a way where they feel like it’s alright to wait. I want things to be classic. I’m just grateful that people can sort of sense that with each album and with each song, that we really put love and time into. And we really want you to be able to play it and get married to it, and conceive children to it. We really put that level of care into it. We hope that this is what will happen. So that’s why I take time with it”
