Mavericks F Ebanks suspended two games

Dallas Mavericks forward Devin Ebanks was suspended for two games without pay for pleading no contest to driving under the influence of alcohol, the NBA announced Monday.

Ebanks was arrested in Los Angeles in November 2012 when he was a member of the Lakers. He signed with the Mavericks in September as a non-guaranteed training camp invitee.

Ebanks' suspension begins the first game of the regular season for which he is eligible and physically able to play.

The Mavericks open the season Oct. 30 against the visiting Atlanta Hawks.
