The Houston furniture salesman known as "Mattress Mack" is betting big on the Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI against the Rams in Los Angeles.

Jim McIngvale placed more than $4.5 million in bets on the Caesars Sportsbook app in Louisiana on the underdog Bengals to win on the moneyline at +170 odds - meaning the bet would net more than $7.7 million if Cincinnati wins the game.

It's believed to be the largest wager he's ever placed, and Caesars Sportsbook tweeted that it's the single largest legal mobile wager ever.

McIngvale said he had to drive across the Texas border into Louisiana - because mobile sports wagering isn't legal in Texas - pull over at a gas station, and make about 20 wagers of $200,000 each through his account with Caesars Sportsbook, according to multiple reports.

"The Joe Burrow magic is pulling fans in, especially in Louisiana with his college roots," Caesars Sportsbook head of sports Ken Fuchs said in a release. "With this $4.5 million bet on Joe and the Bengals, Mack will make history again. And with the millions of Caesars Rewards credits he’ll earn - win or lose - he can enjoy time spent on OUR mattresses at Caesars anytime he wants to stop by."

McIngvale reportedly bet on the Bengals last month against the Titans through Caesars.

A year ago, McIngvale said he won $2.7 million on a $3.4 million wager on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In Oct. 2019, McIngvale promised a full refund - with a Houston Astros' World Series victory - to customers who spent more than $3,000 on certain mattresses, and said he lost $12-14 million in money he wagered when they lost to the Washington Nationals in seven games. He said his winnings would have covered the cost of his customers' free mattresses if they had won.
