Matthew Stafford does best Jerome Bettis impression, trucks Titans cornerback
Breaking: Matthew Stafford might now be eligible at running back in your fantasy league.
The Detroit Lions quarterback did his best Jerome Bettis — another Detroit guy — on this run, posterizing Tennessee Titans cornerback Perrish Cox.
Fire up the Titans’ kangaroo court this week. Cox is making a serious donation for sure.
Stafford is not known as a runner, but he also took a huge wallop (by the Titans’ Daimion Stafford — no relation) while scrambling on a different play in the first half.
So perhaps this is just a one-week thing. But it was pretty darned impressive. Whatever it takes in the post-Calvin Johnson era for the Lions.
