Mattel shares drop, United Natural Foods beats on top and bottom lines, El Pollo Loco shares higher

Mattel (MAT): Shares are dropping in early trading. The toymaker is slipping on reports Toys ‘R’ Us is preparing to liquidate its U.S. operations. Rival Hasbro is also falling.
United Natural Foods (UNFI): Shares are jumping here. The food supplier reported a strong quarter, beating on both the top and bottom lines and upped its fiscal 2018 guidance.
El Pollo Loco (LOCO Shares are higher in early trading. The chicken chain beat on earnings by a penny, saw same-store sales rise 1.4% and issued an upbeat profit forecast for 2018.
