Matt Riddle and RVD to face off in first ever match in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE — This weekend wrestling fans will be paying close attention to Chillicothe as a highly anticipated match takes place between pro wrestlers Matt Riddle and Rob Van Dam.
The match was announced by Bobby Fulton online and has garnered the attention of many already. Riddle is a former wrestler with the WWE and mixed martial artist with UFC. Rob Van Dam, also known as RVD, is a pro wrestler who has worked in WWE, AEW, ECW and Impact Wrestling. Both men have won championships in several different companies around the world.
This will be the third time RVD has come to Chillicothe but the first for Riddle.
Promoter Dillon Hines said this match is a "dream match" for many wrestling fans due to the similarities in style and personality the two competitors share. While it is a nontitle match RVD will have the formerly retired ECW Television Championship with him and Riddle will have his recently won New Japan Television Championship with him.
"This is something a lot of fans have wanted to see for years," said Hines. "Big Time Wrestling, one of the things we pride ourselves on is bringing the big matches to small towns."
During the Fan Fest fans can look forward to meeting Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, Japanese star Ultimo Dragon, Tony Atlas, the Honky Tonk Man and more. During the matches names like Fulton Family v. The Amazing Universal Super Wreckers and Rock N' Roll Eexpress with Baby Doll v. The New Faces of Fear with Kevin Sullivan.
All of this will take place at Big Time Wrestling's The Reunion 3: Cavalcade of Legends on March 9 at the OUC Shoemaker Center. Tickets are available online now.
