Matt Lanter married his longtime love, Angela Stacy, in June in what reports claimed was a "Star Wars"-themed ceremony.
However, the former "90210" star, who voices Anakin in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," says the event wasn't a complete cosplay takeover.
"We had some 'Stars Wars' elements - it wasn't themed 'Star Wars,'" Matt told AccessHollywood.com at Comic-Con 2013 in San Diego. "My wife would not have let that fly!"
While the blue-eyed hunk couldn't get away with forcing completely intergalactic nuptials on his bride, he was able to incorporate quite a bit of the sci-fi fantasy world into the couple's big day.
"I got away with quite a bit of 'Star Wars' stuff. We had clone troopers there," he said. "We had six clone troopers introduce us when we came in as a couple. We had lightsabers, I had a 'Stars Wars' groom's cake."'
Adding, "So I got my 'Star Wars' [fix] in!"
Matt was on hand at SDCC to promote his new CW show, "Star Crossed," in which he'll be playing a high school student (much like his most recent role on "90210").
Did the 30-year-old star ever think he'd be playing a pre-collegiate for so many years?
"Absolutely not, no!" he said, laughing. "But I guess I should take it while I can get it? I mean, like yeah, sure, all right, I'll play high school again."
Unlike "90210," however, "Star Crossed" focuses on heavier themes - specifically segregation (between humans and aliens).
"The difference between '90210' and this is '90210' was about high school, at least for the first several seasons," Matt said. "This is not really about high school - it's actually about something much, much larger. It's about human issues and cultural issues."
"Star Crossed" will premiere in 2014 on The CW.
