Master Gardener Plant Sale starts soon in Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) – Locals can spruce up their backyard gardens next month after a visit to the Master Gardener Plant Sale in Topeka.
The Shawnee County Extension Office announced in a press release that people can find flowering plants, vegetables, herbs and pollinator-friendly native plants at the sale. Some plants you can expect to find at the sale include:
Vinca
Perennials
Coleus
Petunias
Zinnias
Red Salvia
Peppers
Tomatoes
Milkweed
Pollinator plants
Native plants
Houseplants
Cash made during this sale goes towards supporting horticulture education programs and demonstration gardens in Shawnee County. Volunteers will also be on hand to answer gardening questions.

The plant sale lasts from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 4 at the Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka.
