Massage therapist arrested on sexual assault, operating without license charges in Shelton

A massage therapist from Seymour was arrested and charged with sexual assault, according to Shelton Police.

Lisa Daubenhauser of Seymour was arrested and charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and practicing massage therapy without a license.

The arrest came after an alleged victim told police that she was inappropriately touched by Daubenhauser while receiving a massage. The victim also alleged Daubenhauser made “lude comments” at her, according to police.

During the investigation into the report, police found that Daubenhauser did not have a license to practice massage therapy, police said.

Daubenhauser was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court on Aug. 24.
