Mass. gas prices up 2 cents per gallon, but remain well below the national average

BOSTON (AP) -- Massachusetts drivers are paying more at the pump.

AAA Southern New England reports Tuesday that the average cost of a gallon of self-serve, regular gas has risen 2 cents to $3.51. That's 11 cents below the national average.

Current Massachusetts prices are 9 cents higher per gallon than a month ago, but still a dime lower than at the same time last year.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling as low as $3.39 per gallon and as high as $3.69.
