Maryland police arrested man involved in a shooting in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Maryland State Police (MSP) said a man was arrested for for his involvement in a shooting in Carroll County that happened on Sunday.

Jose Manchame, 41, of Manchester, was arrested at the party. He was charged with first-degree assault.

The shooting happened on Sunday shortly after 6 p.m. MSP responded to the 4900 block of Hanover Pike for a report of a man who had been shot during a house party.

The man was flown to a hospital in Baltimore for treatment.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there was no threat to the public.

The shooting was still being investigated.
