Maryland man arrested, accused of exposing himself at malls in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police said officers arrested a man who exposed himself at two malls in the county over the course of several months.

The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said they went to Spencer’s in Fair Oaks Mall on Jan. 11 around 5 p.m. after they received a report that a man exposed himself inside the store.

Officers identified the man as 29-year-old Jamall Mathis of Maryland.

Man charged for indecent exposure incidents at University of Maryland

After investigators identified Mathis as the person wanted in the January incident, they said they identified him as the person involved in a similar incident incident in Five Below at Springfield Mall on Oct. 12, 2023.

Officers arrested Mathis on March 15, 2024.

He was charged with two counts of Indecent Exposure and was held on a secured bond and eventually released.
