Who is Mary Elizabeth Taylor? Social Media Loses It Over Woman at Gorsuch Hearing

With the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Nominee Neil Gorsuch underway, social media is on fire over the identity of the the woman seated behind him.

She has been sitting behind Gorsuch during each of his confirmation hearings, along with Gorsuch's wife, Louise. 

“She is beautiful!” said one Tweet.

“Twitter has a crush on her!” said another.

It has emerged that her name is Mary Elizabeth Taylor, and she works in the White House legislative affairs unit.

She worked on Gorsuch's nomination team when he met with senators before the hearings.

She’s a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, where she studied political science, and she's a former aide to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

She began interning in the Senate in July 2006. She was also formerly an assistant in the Senate Republican cloakroom, where political deals are often made. 

While working for McConnell, her job was to develop close relationships with other Republican senators, according to The Washington Post. 

She was also an intern for Koch Industries in 2010, according to her LinkedIn page.
