Marvel actor adopts Florida dog found with chain embedded in neck

An actor from the Marvel Cinematic Universe adopted a dog from a Humane Society in Florida.
Dave Bautista adopted a pitbull from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, according to their Facebook page.
The Humane Society said Sage, whose name was changed to Penny after the adoption, used trash as a source of food.
A good Samaritan saw Penny eating trash at a Tampa area cemetery and rushed the dog over to the Humane Society, according to its Facebook page.
Penny, who is 3 months old, had skin issues and overgrown nails when she was brought in.
Penny had an embedded chain around her neck that required surgery to remove, but now is doing better and has two new pitbull siblings. Bautista had previously adopted two dogs in 2019 from a Tampa area shelter.
The Humane Society posted a video on their Facebook page of Penny and Bautista meeting.
Dave Bautista is known in the MCU for his Drax the Destroyer character in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise. He is also a former WWE wrestler.
